Q: What have you found to be the advantage of basing your business in Wollongong as opposed to other Australian or international locations?

Wollongong enjoys lower costs and doesn’t have the traffic congestion of the major cities like Sydney. We also enjoy a great location and setting which gives us so many beautiful things to see and do. We also have great access to people with the skills needed to make our business grow.

Q: What experience have you had recruiting the talent you need in Wollongong?

We have found that the employee turnover is low, so we have to spend less time and money training new staff. Also, the quality of available staff for new positions is great.

Q: What are some of the things you love about living in Wollongong?

We have the best lifestyle with absolutely stunning beaches and locations to enjoy our natural environment. We also don’t have the soul-destroying traffic people in the big cities have to sit in.

Q: How does being based in Wollongong help with your work-life balance?

I can spend less time travelling to and from work and therefore more time doing things I enjoy.

Q: If a company was thinking of establishing their business in Wollongong, what would you tell them?

In Wollongong you will enjoy lower operating costs, a lower turnover of employees and will be able to recruit the high-quality staff needed to make your business a success.

Also make use of the new business incubators and support that is available for businesses setting up in the region.

Q: What kinds of local activities do you enjoy doing recreationally?

Because we are in such a unique location there is an abundance of water sports to enjoy, recreation on Lake Illawarra and the amazing beaches that are right on our doorstep.
