Webinar: “Suddenly Remote” in Wollongong

Webinar

Microsoft Teams & Office 365 Training for “Suddenly Remote” Workers in the Wollongong Region

The below webinar is for those within the Wollongong community who are finding themselves “suddenly remote” – possibly for the very first time – due to COVID-19. This is a nationwide issue – the Leesman Index, which is an independent workplace effectiveness benchmarking tool,  reported that 47% of the workers they surveyed in Australia and New Zealand in 2019 had no working from home experience.

The “Suddenly Remote” situation is creating uncertainty and forcing Wollongong businesses and the community to respond quickly to a changing environment. However, understanding the features of a solution like Microsoft Teams can contribute to productivity under these conditions. And that is what our webinar is all about.

After our “Suddenly Remote” training session we had a live Q&A with our experts, James Dellow, Director of Chief Technology Solutions and Liza Tinker, Collaboration and Remote Work Consultant.

Teams calendar vs your Outlook calendar

“Your calendar in Teams is connected to your Exchange calendar. In other words, when you schedule a meeting in Outlook, it’ll show up in Teams, and vice versa.” – Read more here

How secure is Teams?

“As a customer of Office 365, you own and control your data. Microsoft does not use your data for anything other than providing you with the service that you have subscribed to. As a service provider, we do not scan your email, documents, or teams for advertising or for purposes that are not service-related. Microsoft doesn’t have access to uploaded content.”

Teams doesn’t store data in one place, but uses different Office 365 services to securely manage content – e.g chat in the user’s Exchange mailbox (email) and files in SharePoint.
