We love our markets

Wollongong has many markets scattered across our region and spread out throughout the monthly calendar.

We love our fresh produce and Wollongong-made gifts. And because we also love our live music, you will find that many of our markets will have some form of entertainment – usually local musicians.  So grab the kids and join the locals at one of our many markets.

Coledale Markets – Coledale

Located between the ocean and the escarpment and just 18 kilometres north of Wollongong, every 4th Sunday of the month between 9:00am-3:00pm the Coledale Markets come alive with plenty of stalls, food, live music, hidden treasures and good vibes.

The markets are held at the Coledale Public School at 699 Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Coledale, NSW, 2515.

Eat Street Markets – Wollongong CBD

Every Thursday between 5:00pm-9:00pm at the Crown Street Mall in the CBD why not take your family to discover Wollongong’s own all-weather outdoor food market?

You’ll find in-season fruit and vegetables, fair trade products, free range eggs, fresh roasted coffee, vegan products, organic bread, gourmet treats, succulent ribs, hot dumplings, yummy hot dogs, fresh Asian salads, tasty burgers, and gourmet desserts – there’s so much to choose from!

The family can taste food from all over the world as well as enjoy live music, relax at one of the chill-out spaces to and soak up the community atmosphere.

Friday Forage – Wollongong CBD

Friday Forage Market promotes local producers who are passionate about the food they grow and the products they make. Come along and chat about their food stories and connect with the community or observe how local products are made.

The market provides a gateway to learn about ‘conscious’ eating, sustainable farming and production methods and rare breed or heirloom produce.

Friday Forage Market is currently the largest fresh produce weekly market held in Wollongong. The event is every Friday 9:00am – 2:00pm at the Crown Street Mall.

 

Sunday Foragers – Bulli

The Sunday Foragers Market promotes local food and regional delicacies for the enjoyment of both locals and visitors. While the Friday Foragers Markets focuses on the produce, the Sunday Foragers Markets shows how enjoyable that produce can be made to taste with a focus on eating and is full of stalls offering all kinds of yummy food and drinks to appeal to all tastes.

Foragers Market is held the 2nd Sunday of every month from 9:00am – 2:00pm and is held at the Showground, Grevillea Park Road in Bulli.

Berry Produce and Farmers’ Market

The Berry Farmers’ Market is held every Thursday from 3:00pm – 6:00pm and is a true farmers’ market that cares about the origin of food and the protection of local growers, producers and makers.

Each week you will find a wonderful selection of seasonal produce being sold directly to you by the farmer or maker. Along with fruit and vegetables, you can expect to find seafood, local Wagyu beef, honey, eggs, milk straight from the dairy, gelato made from local milk, cider, wine, mushrooms, cakes and tarts, preserves, sourdough bread, street food, ready-made meals… and more!

Kiama Farmers’ Market

At the Kiama Farmer’s market you will find fresh seasonal produce each week from our local market gardens produced by local growers, artisans and producers. You can also mingle with friends and neighbours in the Kiama town square.

Kiama Makers & Growers Market

Held the 4th Saturday of each month, the Kiama Makers and Growers market is held right beside the ocean. From food to handmade items the market will be enjoyed by the entire family. Dog’s on a leash are also welcome to this public area.

The Farms Market, Killalea State Park

Located in one of the most picturesque spots on the South Coast, The Farms Market contains over 90 stalls stocked with the latest fashions, a huge range of local producers, sweets, brewers, artisans, florists and food…plus everything else in between!

Why not bring the family and make a day of it – with plenty of grass for the kids to play all that’s left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the live music and spectacular views.
